We have many extra facilities to make life happy and comfortable for our students. We have our own café, located on the ground floor, Odyssey Café. It is a large, warm and welcoming space where students can buy their breakfast or lunch, or sit and enjoy cake and coffee. We also have a beautiful roof garden situated on the ground floor, at the back of the Milner College building. Students and staff are free to enjoy the garden whenever they like. We offer students free internet access from our two computer rooms, with fast ADSL link and multi-lingual support. Non-Roman scripts are available. Wireless internet is available free of charge.
Our library and listening centre has an extensive range of materials for all levels, catering for beginners through to advanced students. Milner’s librarian is available to assist students in finding appropriate materials. Books, newspapers and magazines are colour coded, so identifying the correct level is easy. Many books have an accompanying CD.
Perth is a beautiful, spacious city set on the banks of the Swan River and bordered by the sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean. Around 9 months of the year are warm and sunny, with an average of 8 hours of clear sunshine per day, year-round. Perth enjoys a Mediterranean climate, the average daytime temperature being 18 degrees celcius in winter and 30 degrees in summer.
Perth’s beaches are world-famous. There are kilometres of them - white, pristine, uncrowded and close to the city. Western Australia has some of the world’s best surf.
We are happy to organise students’ accommodation during their time at Milner College. We have a full-time staff member dedicated to our students’ accommodation needs. We offer five different alternatives:
