About AIMST University
AIMST University formally began its operations in October 2001, providing quality technical education at an affordable price. The curriculum for most of the degree programmes are drawn from the University of Bristol in the U.K. AIMST University also makes it a point to improve on their quality of education by partnering with universities locally and internationally. Some of their partners are Kanagawa University Japan, Bahria University Pakistan, Tzu Chi University Taiwan, Prince of Songkla University Thailand, Nguyen Tat Thanh University Vietnam and Queen Mary University London.
What makes AIMST University stand out amongst their competitors is the variety of degree programmes that include computer training, writing and research in order to prepare students for work and to enhance their ability to apply technologies to all aspects of literacies. The medium of instruction for all courses is English, although the importance of the National Language will be emphasised in all activities of the University. AIMST University will provide language support for students before and during their degree studies.

Location of AIMST in Kedah - The permanent campus is in Semeling, which is about 20 kilometres from Alor Star, Kedah's state capital.
