Student Reviews Guidelines
EasyUni was launched in 2011 to empower students everywhere to self research and get accurate and un-biased information about universities around the world. We feel one of the most sought after information by students are the community’s genuine, accurate and un-biased experience and thoughts about their universities. Please follow the guidelines below to ensure other student can benefit from your experience
-
Your review can be in your own language (not necessarily English). We do accept reviews in any language – as our student community comes from all over the world
-
We encourage you to write the review from a few perspectives and include both a pro and a con to provide a balanced review. We do believe balanced reviews make for a better community experience
-
Each student is allowed one review, per university, per year. If a student updates a review within a year, the older review will be archived and the newer review will be listed. Your review should be based on your experience you had in that university within the last five years so it’s relevant to today’s student
-
We do not allow reviews that name individuals. We also do not allow reviews that include negative comments about identifiable individuals. All such reviews will not be posted
-
We will not post reviews that include threats of violence, profanities or discriminatory language targeted at an individual or group/race
-
We do not post reviews that reveal confidential, non-public internal university information
-
Your review should be truthful and constitute your own personal opinion and experience with your current or former university. We don’t take sides when it comes to factual disputes, so we expect you to stand behind your statements expressed in your review
-
All reviews need to be originally written by the reviewer
-
We will not post reviews that do not relate to the university, or are otherwise not relevant to understanding the condition of the university. We will reject any posts that are advertisement in nature or containing a web link
University/Institution Response Guidelines
We highly recommend university to respond to each and every review written by your student. Especially those that question the university or those with constructive feedback. Your response will not only give the reviewer an answer, but will also give other visitors that cared enough to read the review (which will most probably be your future potential students/academics) a better understanding of the situation.
University’s responses are also moderated using this reviews guidelines, with the exception that we do allow university to include their contact information and relevant web links (e.g. links to university blog, internal university policies, student community webpage, student support hotline or webpage, etc.)
When responding, we specifically ask university to:
-
Not include the name of the student you believe wrote the review
-
Be polite and professional in your response
-
Not threaten the student with legal or other action
Please note that EasyUni moderates university responses after they have been posted. Therefore, if the response does not meet the guidelines, it may be shown for a short time before we remove it. You will be notified by email if we remove your response.
