The Facon Education Fair is the largest higher education convention of Malaysia, held annually across the country. For 2018, the fair was held in a variety of venues, including the KLCC Convention Centre on the 31st of March and the 1st of April.
Offering aid to SPM, ‘A’ and ‘O’ Level, STPM and UEC graduates, as well as those simply looking to return to studying or to further their studies even more; the fair congregates over 300 institutions and other services - all to help everyone gain insight into desired courses and obtain financial aid to pursue academic interests.
Among the highly-renowned academies in attendance were Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU) who specialises in technology, engineering and business; Brickfields Asia College (BAC) who is recognised for quality law and business education, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC), a longtime beloved of Malaysian higher education; Penang Medical College (PMC), Ramsay Sime Darby Healthcare College and foreign notable Manipal International University for medical pursuits; and the University of Limerick for all kinds of art specialities. Here to provide the newest in hospitality management too was Swiss College of Hospitality Management Lenk (SHML), introducing academic pursuits for the boutique hotel industry.
With so many notable higher institutes and more, there was no shortage of exploring the possibilities available for one’s academic future for both profession and passion.
With EasyUni present, experiencing the search for a good university or course to explore was less overwhelming for first-timers and families, who were quite dazzled with the huge array of choices and discovering even more interesting courses and fields to explore.
Aiding students in precisely what this entire fair offered, EasyUni had a blast handing out GuideBooks (downlod your free copy here!) filled with After-SPM tips, academic and career insights to fields like arts and feature columns on education pathways for young students to navigate the next phase of life.
EasyUni’s team of counsellors were also present and had their hands full answering many queries from both curious students and confused parents about the journey of finding and getting through a university, what fields could lead to their desired careers, and how one should manage as a foundation level or degree level student.
All was not completely without fun, as EasyUni’s booth also had game-stops and prizes to be won to ease the air of worrying about the future.
