About this course

This HND course is a one year part-time top-up course available to students who have completed the HNC. The course aims to prepare you for a range of technical, professional and management careers in the industry by providing units which are relevant to the discipline in which you are either currently working or seeking employment. It will provide an environment where you will be able to enhance your knowledge in construction and achieve a nationally recognised qualification. The course also promotes employability skills which will be directly applicable to your workplace. This will include the production of professional reports, using spreadsheets to analyse data and making presentations. Much of the work is based around scenarios and real life buildings, and you will explore all aspects of the design, construction, refurbishment and demolition of buildings. Students will be expected to develop their higher order thinking skills, including research, critical analysis of situations and independent study.

Note:

  • This course is offered in City Centre Campus only.
  • Tuition fees for this course is currently being reviewed by the university.
