About this course

In the Master of Accounting course, you’ll develop your ability to think critically, in addition to the essential business and accounting skills potential employers expect in the workplace. You will study a range of subjects including, management and financial accounting, business and corporations law, financial reporting, corporate governance and regulatory processes, marketing management and professional communication.

Upon completion of this course graduates are able to:

  • Demonstrate professional skills and knowledge in relation to contemporary accounting issues and related practices.
  • Analyse contemporary accounting issues within a range of theories and frameworks.
  • Apply strategic management and marketing techniques to a range of business situations.
  • Be classified as an ‘accountant’ in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Standard Classification of Occupations (ASCO Code: 2211-11).
  • Be eligible for admission into the professional courses offered by the ACCA, CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA).
