About this course
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree wil provide you with increased business knowledge and increased skills in the areas of critical thinking, problem solving, and teamwork. The program of study incorporates and integrates courses in management, marketing, accounting, finance, information systems, and strategy. An Emporia State MBA gradute has the skills necessary to compete and contribute in the global environment of the 21st century.
The MBA program is fully accredited by AACSB International, is designed for business and non-business graduates, and is one of the most affordable and flexible programs in Kansas.
Utilizing face-to-face and online instruction, the MBA program consists of 12 courses, or the equivalent of 36 credit hours. The program is designed to allow students to select the elective courses that suit their individual needs, or to follow a concentration program of study to focus on individual areas of interest. The accounting concentration gives students additional accounting knowledge and preparation for the CPA exam. The information systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) concentrations provide students with practical, hands-on, real world knowledge needed to work with and manage integrated business systems.
- 2.0 or 2.5 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale for undergraduates.
- Emporia State University also accepts IGCSE or O Levels as meeting the entry criteria for admission.
- Cambridge International A Levels are recognized for matriculation purposes with 6 to 10 semester hours of university credit being awarded on a course by course basis for AS/A Levels.
