About The Art Institute of Las Vegas
The Art Institute of Las Vegas was formerly known as the Design Institute which became a part of The Art Institute System of Schools in April 2001 and subsequently moved into a new facility at 2350 Corporate Circle in Henderson, Nevada. To meet the growing needs of their institution, they added a second building which makes up a total of 45,000 square feet of classroom, computer lab, library, professional skills kitchens, a dining lab and office space. This institute is part of the fifty over The Art institute which is found throughout North America. Their institute includes the renowned International Culinary School at The Art Institute (formerly known as Culinary Institute of Las Vegas. Other programs include design, media arts fashion.
The Art Institute is able to bring a real-world perspective into the classroom, preparing students for entry-level positions upon graduation as many of the educators at the institute are working professionals in their respective fields.
The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools has accredited the The Institute to award diplomas, associate’s degrees, and bachelor’s degrees. The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.
