About this course

The Master of Middle Grades Education program at Georgia College offers advanced preparation in the knowledge, skills and attitudes required for effective, exemplary teachers of young adolescents and Middle Level Architects of Change. Middle Grades Master’s students will focus on school improvement while learning about best practice in their field. The M.Ed. MG program stands out in Georgia as a program nationally recognized by the National Middle School Association. Courses are scheduled to fit into the work schedule of students so they are offered in the evening, usually meeting once a week for the term. There are also some Saturday options and courses with on-line components. You are able to begin the program at the start of any term during the academic year. Offered in Milledgeville and Macon, you usually can begin and complete the program at either site. However, for individual courses or to suit your scheduling needs, some travel between the two locations may be necessary.
