About Georgia College and State University

From its founding as a women’s educational center in 1889, our institution has consistently been a destination for students looking to make a difference in the world. We are Georgia’s designated public liberal arts university and offer 37 undergraduate degrees and more than 25 graduate programs. More importantly, we teach every student how to learn and we strive to instill a lifelong passion for learning that serves our students well regardless of the career paths they choose.

Accommodation

Adams Hall is located on Greene Street on Central Campus. Opened in 2004, this is a four-story suite-style building which provides housing to 244 students. This hall features a community room, study room and computer rooms on each floor along with a multipurpose room, kitchen, vending area and laundry room on the main floor. The suite-style restrooms feature separate areas for sink, shower and toilet. The hall also offers a small courtyard.

Bell Hall is located on front campus with easy access to classroom buildings, the library, the dining hall, Maxwell Student Union and downtown Milledgeville. This colonial-style hall offers suite-style housing for 190 students. Bell Hall is home to the Honors Residential Learning Community.

Foundation Hall is located on Central Campus adjacent to the Centennial Center and parking area. Opened on Valentine's Day of 2003, this hall houses 283 freshmen students in a four-story suite-style facility with a formal central staircase. This hall has a community room, computer room and study room on each floor along with a multi-purpose room, classroom, formal lounge and laundry room on the first floor. The suite-style restrooms feature a separate area for sink, shower and toilet. The hall also shares a large courtyard with Parkhurst Hall.

Napier Hall, opened in January of 2005, houses 184 students and is located off Greene Street on Central Campus. It houses a classroom on the terrace level and students on the first through third floors. On the first floor, one finds a multipurpose room, laundry room, kitchen and vending area. Second and third floors have a community room, study room and computer room for student use. The suite-style restrooms feature separate areas for sink, shower and toilet.

Parkhurst Hall is located on Greene Street, on Central Campus adjacent to the Depot. Opened on Valentine's Day of 2003, this hall houses 261 freshmen in a four-story suite-style facility with a formal central staircase. This hall has a community room, computer room and study room on each floor along with a multi-purpose room, classroom, formal lounge and laundry room on the first floor. The suite-style restrooms feature a separate area for sink, shower and toilet. This hall also shares a large courtyard with Foundation Hall.

Sanford Hall is located on Greene Street on Central Campus, re-opened after a complete renovation in August 2004. This historic residence hall houses a variety of suite-style room types which gives Sanford a special feel. This hall has two floors for students and a kitchen and laundry room on the terrace level. Each floor has a computer room and study room along with a multi-purpose room, classroom and formal lounge on the first floor. The suite-style restrooms feature separate areas for sink, shower and toilet. 

Wells Hall is located on Central Campus adjacent to the tennis courts. Opened in January of 2004, this is a three-story, suite-style building which provides housing to 189 freshmen students. This hall has a community room, study room and computer room on each floor along with a multi-purpose room, classroom, kitchen, vending area and laundry room on the main floor. The suite-style restrooms feature a separate area for sink, shower and toilet.

Campus

From the historic white Corinthian pillars of the buildings on front campus, to the Village and spectacular Wellness and Recreation Center on west campus, Georgia College has to be seen to be believed.

The main Georgia College campus is located in Milledgeville, a charming, traditional southern town less than a two-hour drive from Atlanta. There are additional campus locations in Macon and at Robins Air Force Base.
