About Colby Community College
In addition to the main 80-acre campus in Colby, the college operates a 60-acre agricultural center east of the city. Students in agriculture-related programs utilize the college farm as a hands-on laboratory and training facility. A pioneer in outreach education, CCC accommodates hundreds of off-campus students by offering classes at 24 locations in the 14-county service area.
Colby Community College is located in the northwest corner of Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Colorado and Nebraska borders. The area is part of the High Plains, sweeping upward to the Rocky Mountains 250 miles to the west.
Living center lobbies feature a television, microwave oven, refrigerator and vending machines as well as public computer banks. In addition, a coin-operated laundry facility is located in the lobby of both Living Centers East and North and on each floor in Living Center Northeast. Each living center is located within walking distance of the fitness center, indoor swimming pool, volleyball pits and tennis courts, as well as the Student Union and classroom buildings.
