Accommodation

All unmarried full-time enrolled students (under 20 years of age by the first day of Fall Classes) who are not living with parents or a legal guardian must live on campus.

Alpha East Hall
Alpha is a traditional 'dorm-style' hall with community restrooms and a laundry room on each floor. There is a large main-floor lounge, a rooftop sundeck, a main kitchen, and two microwave rooms. The lounges, prayer room, and study room were recently rennovated to create a warm, inviting community area for residents.

Blackstone Hall I
Blackstone Hall is Biola's newest Residence Hall. It is an L.E.E.D.-certified green building and specially designed to enhance community-building. Co-ed community lobbies on each floor and an in-building dining facility make for a community-oriented experience.Blackstone Hall was purposefully designed with 132 Economy Double rooms to provide more affordable housing for Biola's students. The dining facility will serve coffee, breakfast, and grilled foods until 1am.

Beachcomber Apartments
Beachcomber contains one- and two-bedroom apartments. There is one laundry room on the ground floor. Beachcomber is co-ed, with male and female students living in separate apartments. While there is no lobby or lounge per se, there is a large central courtyard that provides social space.

Beachcomber Apartments' doors are secured by a key access system, so only residents can access the building. Each individual room is key-locked for student security. Security cameras in outside and common areas are monitored 24 hours per day, and Campus Safety patrols campus regularly to ensure student security at all times.

Campus

Biola’s 95-acre campus in La Mirada is less than 25 miles from beaches, Disneyland, the Hollywood Bowl and other iconic Southern California locations. Newsweek has named Biola one of “25 Great Schools With Great Weather.”

Biola’s esteemed professors hold doctorates from some of the world’s leading research universities, such as Cambridge, MIT, Cornell, Stanford and Oxford. A 16-to-1 student-faculty ratio allows students to receive personal attention and mentoring.

Biola’s campus rests on the border of Orange and Los Angeles counties, putting students just minutes from all that Southern California has to offer — including entertainment, cultural riches and a wealth of internship and career opportunities.

Surfing and sunbathing are a mere 25 miles away. Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm are even closer. Half an hour up the freeway in Los Angeles, students can catch TV tapings, peruse the Getty Center’s vast art collection or soak up live music at historic theaters and concert halls. Baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer fans can find major-league entertainment throughout the year.

As one of the largest and most diverse metropolitan areas in the world, Southern California is also brimming with ministry and career potential. Biola literally has the nations at its doorstep, giving students a chance to interact and share the love of Jesus with people from all sorts of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
