About this course
Run over two evenings per week, this integrative Counselling Course focuses on both theoretical and experiential learning. The main theories studied are Person Centred, Freudian, Jungian, Developmental and Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic approaches. This compliments the experiential learning aspect of the course which consists of practical counselling skills work and an experiential group to develop self-awareness.
You will also be required to take part in a 20 week counselling exercise as the client of a degree level student. There is also an optional weekend residential where students take part in an experiential group. Students are required to adhere to the BACP ethical framework.
There are also two Saturday morning workshops led by guest speakers is included in this course for which a small charge is made.
