About this course
Learners following the HND in Business programme of study will be given the opportunity to assimilate, analyse, and evaluate various theoretical aspects then, through reflection and simulation, link and apply them to the world of work.
A variety of teaching and learning strategies are employed in business modules. Though there is an element of the traditional lecture/seminar approach, wherever possible, a student-centred approach is adopted with the focus on developing the student from a dependent to autonomous learner. Use of case studies, research briefs, presentation tasks, discussions, student-led seminars and developmental workshops are supported with formative as well as summative feedback with a view to enhancing the learners’ experience as well as their higher level skills.
- 2 A Levels or NVQ Level 3. Mature students can be accepted without these qualifications if they have suitable work experience. An interview is essential before enrolling.
