About this course
This HNC/D aims to equip an individual with knowledge and understanding and skills for success in a range of positions in hospitality management. You will develop skills in food and beverage management, rooms divisions operations, hospitality in the travel and tourism sector, customer service as well as carrying out a research project. You will be assessed through case studies, projects, group work, assignments and reports. This programme is linked very closely to the HNC/D in travel and tourism management and valuable experience is gained via units connected to the tourism industry. You will be expected to be in college two full days each week and expect at least 15 hours per week private study/research.
- Maths and English at GCSE Grade C or equivalent and successful completion of a level 3 qualification. Applicants with work experience will be considered on individual merit. It is possible to progress on to an Honours degree or to a higher level professional qualification with a full HND.
