We have over 2,400 bedrooms available that are all either on campus or a short walk from the main university campuses, providing a range of self-catered accommodation options for you to choose from. All sites are also linked by a free term-time bus service. We have varying contract lengths to suit your needs and the length of your course, as well as family accommodation and adapted facilities for students with specific requirements.

All Undergraduate students are guaranteed a place in their first year of study if applications are received before 1 September.

From 2015 all accommodation will offer furnished, self-catered student flats of 2-10 bedrooms and your monthly rent will include:

  • All utilities (gas, water, electricity)
  • Free site-wide high-speed Wi-Fi
  • Helpful and friendly on-site staff
  • Regular social events
  • A 24/7 security presence
  • Contents insurance
  • Use of all on-site facilities
  • Free campus bus service daily (Mon - Fri)

With the opening of our MediaCity campus (right next to the BBC) we now have four campuses. Three are within a 10 minute walk of each other and the fourth, at MediaCity, is connected via a free bus service that runs every 10 minutes.

We’re also continuing to invest heavily in our campus and facilities, to ensure you get a great university experience.

In September 2015 the doors will open to our new £81m student accommodation complex with en-suite bedrooms and an on-site cinema room, gym, TV and games room, group study lounges and a launderette. Students will also benefit from shops, restaurants and cafés nearby as part of the lively campus environment.

The University is also investing £55m in the New Adelphi Building which will open to students and staff in early 2016. This building will be home to the School of Arts & Media among other subject areas and will provide a contemporary gateway to the campus. Facilities will include new lecture theatres and learning spaces, a theatre, recording and photography studios, café areas, performance and rehearsal spaces.

The main University Campus is 2km from Manchester city centre, only a 5 minute journey away. There are buses every few minutes to the city centre and we've got our own train station so it's easy to get around. We're also the closest university to Manchester United Football Club and Old Trafford cricket ground so you won't have far to go to catch a good match.

MediaCityUK is just a mile down the road from the main University campus so you’ll be right at heart of the action. We are located at the heart of six national BBC departments and hundreds of independent creative, digital and media organisations.
