About this course

The foundation courses provides entry-level training in acting and Musical Theatre. It is designed for less experienced students and for those who wish to develop their skills before pursuing additional vocational training and entering the profession.

The Acting and Musical Theatre Foundation courses are separate pathways, each with a unique identity.  The core of both is building awareness so the actor can begin to listen, play and take risks.  However, each is crafted to reflect the different demands of Acting and Musical Theatre.

The Foundation courses offers modules in new Creative Script-writing, setting up theatre companies (with a particular focus in theatre in education) and can help students create contacts for professional work placements in Technical Theatre and Design.
