About Farnborough College of Technology
Farnborough College of Technology was established in 1957. And in 1960, the RAE Technical School merged with Farnborough Tech to form Farnborough College of Technology. The college is located in the town of Farnborough, Hampshire in the South East of England.
The academic activities of the college are divided into the following six schools which are Applied & Health Sciences, Community Education & Training, Construction, Education & Humanities, Engineering, Hampshire Business School, Media & Creative Arts. The college is accredited by the University of Surrey, and it offers a wide range of further and higher education programmes. Students can study full and part-time courses including A levels, awards, certificates, diplomas, access to higher education diplomas, foundation degrees, honours degrees and some postgraduate options.
Courses offered covers various subjects including business management; early years; education; hospitality management; photography; social care; theatre, dance and film acting; tourism and events management; public services; aeronautical engineering; motorsport engineering; engineering; complementary therapies; film and TV production;graphic design, animation and interactive media; music production; radio and TV production; childcare and education; and so on.
According to the Ofsted in November 2011, the College was judged to be ‘Outstanding’ by across all of its work of Effectiveness of provision Outstanding, Capacity to improve Outstanding, Achievement and standards Outstanding, Quality of provision Outstanding, and Leadership and management Outstanding.
