About this course
Students aged between 16-18 who are motivated and enthusiastic in working towards a more in depth introduction to the Travel and Tourism industry and/or a more vocational route to university are suitable for this programme. The course also includes the IFS Level 2 and Level 3 Certificates in Personal Finance. Students will also have the opportunity to work towards a Maths qualification. Graduates of this programme could work as a Hotel Receptionist, Travel Agency Consultant, Airport Customer Services Agent, Overseas Holiday Representative, Flight Attendant, Cruise Ship Purser, Tourism Marketing Assistant, Brochure Production Assistant, Reservations Staff.
Admission requirements include:
- 5 GCSEs at minimum Grade C which must include English or
- BTEC Level 2 Diploma (Preferably in Travel and Tourism) at Merit or Distinction Level together with English and Maths GCSE Grade D or Key/Functional Skills in English and Maths at Level 1.
- A good reference from last place of study.
- Applicants without the above but with relevant work experience may be accepted subject to interview, references and a written test.
