About this course

This course will help you develop both practical and academic skills essential in the media industry, and prepare you for possible progression onto other Further Education course in Media Production.  You will be taught by experienced, highly qualified staff using industry standard equipment, which include a radio and TV studio, editing suites, audio/video equipment and green screen facilities, which will familiarise you with production techniques and facilities used by the media.  You will study a series of units, each of which will be specialising in a particular area of the media. You will complete assignments while learning through both hands-on, practical work and classroom teaching. The emphasis is on project development through written and practical skills, applied both individually and through teamwork.

Entry Requirements

  • You need 5 GCSE passes at grade D or above including 1 C in an appropriate subject or a Level 1 qualification in an appropriate subject.
