About Bath Academy
Bath Academy is a private tutorial college that specialises in tailoring academic courses to the individual needs of the students to maximise their chances of applying successfully to high quality university courses.
Our focus on a personalised approach is reflected in our method of teaching. It has been our experience that students make progress when they receive good quality feedback on their performance with advice on how to improve at each stage. Teaching takes place in small groups to ensure that students and tutors work closely together. Regular testing enables our students to recognise their strengths and weaknesses, setting themselves realistic and challenging goals.

Accommodation
College Residences
The Academy has two residential houses, both within 10 minutes’ walk from the college and the city centre. Each house is supervised by a member of staff in a way that is appropriate to the ages and needs of the students. The bedrooms are well furnished, centrally heated and are cleaned each week, including bed linen. All houses are non-smoking. Both residences have both single and shared rooms which are allocated on a strictly ‘first come, first served’ basis.
Full-board accommodation for students aged 14 – 17 years of age: The house is supervised at all times by the Housemistress and her staff. Single or shared rooms are available and bathrooms are shared, with designated bathrooms for each gender.
Self-catering accommodation for students who are at least 18-years-old: The house has a communal kitchen and shared living and dining areas. Single or shared rooms are available and bathrooms are shared with designated bathrooms for each gender.
Homestay Accommodation
Bath Academy arranges accommodation in Bath with caring and responsible homestay providers. Living in homestay accommodation, students are able to learn more about British customs and traditions, and gain additional conversational practice.
All homestays are located within the city of Bath and can be reached either by walking or public transport. Some homestays are a short walk from the college but most can be reached within 20 minutes on public transport.
Our Accommodation Officer chooses homestays very carefully; they are visited and interviewed in order to make sure that they satisfy our criteria.
The student will have their own room which includes a bed, wardrobe space and space for studying. In most cases students will share a bathroom with the homestay provider. It is possible to request executive rooms which guarantee en-suite facilities but these are subject to availability.Homestay accommodation is full board (breakfast, packed lunch and dinner and normal laundry requirements)
