About this course

This programme equips students who wish to pursue careers in the field of civil engineering, with professional knowledge and skills. Throughout their studies, students will develop problem-solving, teamwork, communication, leadership and management skillsm as well as ethical attitudes. The work-integrated curriculum emphasises general education, in addition to topics related to civil and structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, hydraulics, transport and infrastructure, and management. This programme is recognised and accredited by professional bodies such as the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE).

Entry Requirements

International Students:

  • Applicants with academic qualifications obtained in secondary or tertiary institutions outside Hong Kong will be assessed individually by the departments concerned.
  • IGCSE, GCE, International Baccalaureate (IB) or other overseas qualifications which are comparable with the required levels of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education will be accepted.
  • IELTS overall score at 6 or equivalent.
