About Dalhousie University

Dalhousie University is internationally known as one of North America’s most welcoming universities. Founded in 1818, Dalhousie is one of Canada’s oldest universities, attracting more than 18,200 students from around the world. Located on Canada’s East Coast, the university blends world-class academic programs with leading-edge research.

Campus information

Dalhousie has three campuses in the heart of Halifax, close to the city’s major amenities. In 2012, we added our Agricultural Campus, located just outside the Town of Truro, in the village of Bible Hill, Nova Scotia.

Dal's Halifax campuses are situated in residential areas, within easy walking distance of downtown Halifax.

Dalhousie’s Agricultural Campus is only an hour away from Halifax and a short 40-minute drive from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
