About this course
In this course you will focus on individual projects and you will be able to follow your own personal directions while staff facilitate your project goals. In your year-long project you will receive mentor support and access to department facilities.
Your studio practice will be supported by classes in theory and research, promotional and marketing strategies (including an end-of-year exhibition). In addition, there will be supporting units of drawing and photography.
This course is ideal for you if you wish to apply your existing studio and production skills to a specific product development goal, receiving expert assistance along the way in how to plan and manage the development, realisation and eventual promotion of their product vision.
- Academic: Australian Year 12 equivalency.
- English Language: Academic IELTS 5.5 overall with no individual band below 5.0, or equivalency.
- Other: Completion of an Australian Diploma of Visual Arts. Applicants who have completed a diploma in a related field of study may still be accepted for direct entry to this course but are required to present a folio which should demonstrate the use of a range of materials and techniques, including a selection of illustrations, visual artwork, photography, freehand observational drawings, digital and other artwork.
