About this course
Today our lives are dominated by technology and modern businesses require employees who have a wide range of Information Communication Technology skills. You will be actively encouraged to develop skills using a range of up to date software packages to communicate with the world, and to develop an understanding of why management of IT is an important aspect of business.
The course uses a wide range of delivery and communication techniques to enhance your learning experience, whilst developing your skills.
After completing 1 year of the course if you have a grade average of over 60% there is the potential to transfer to the 2nd year of the BSc ICT honours degree.
On completing this 2 year course you can choose whether to join the world of work or you will have the opportunity to convert your FdSc ICT qualification into a BSc ICT honours degree by a further year of study.

Other suitable experience or qualifications will be considered. We consider all applications individually.
Additional requirements for this course are normally GCSE in English at grade C or above (or the BTEC Language and Communications Unit) and Mathematics at grade C or above. We can,however, offer help if you do not have the Mathematics and English qualifications. You do not need to have prior computing qualifications.
