Accommodation

The ESO attracts applicants from all over the world and from all walks of life, each with their own accommodation requirements. In recognition of this, we try to ensure that a full range of accommodation is available to our students, from en-suite student halls* and student houses to individual apartments and family homes. While the School does not manage its own housing, we do produce comprehensive accommodation lists, which can be viewed online via the ESO Learning Zone; the Learning Zone is available to new students once an offer of a place has been accepted and enables new students to get in touch with each other prior to the beginning of the programme.

Accommodation is relatively inexpensive in Maidstone, where you can expect to pay around £60 per week for a room in a house with other students. This is certainly the way most of our students live.

If you prefer to find your own accommodation, you should have no trouble finding a flat to rent. Obviously this is more costly and you should expect to pay around £100 per week for this type of accommodation.

Campus

The School’s academic site, Boxley House, is a beautiful 17th century Jacobean manor, nestled at the foot of the North Downs in a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is surrounded by 17 acres of parkland and provides a setting that is both enjoyable and conducive to study.

Boxley is a delightful village, with a country pub and village church, located approximately 2 miles from Maidstone. The ESO’s busy teaching clinic is located in Maidstone itself, ensuring maximum convenience for our patients. Maidstone is the historic county town of Kent, located on the banks of the River Medway in the South East of England, just 35 miles from London.
