John Tan Ze Keng won the "National Champion" for Monin Coffee Creativity Cup 2017 (Open Category). John will reprsent Malaysia to the Regional finals which will be held in Korea in November.

" What makes this win so sweet it is because this category was open to all professionals – hotels, cafes and universities. Competition started with black box challenge which was participated by 50 plus individuals. It was then narrowed down to Top 16 for the semi finals. Participants presented their coffee signature beverage yesterday to two types of judges : sensory and technical.
John Tan was announced as one of the top 6 finalists. Others were one from KDU, one for Brussels Beer Cafe, One from Carpe Diem Café (Alor Star), one from New Chapter by Owls Café (TK Choong – Berjaya UCH alumni, also trained to compete back in 2013) and one from Stage Café."
