Accommodation

First-year Students

We’re delighted that you’re considering living in residence. First-year students do better academically, socially and in every way when they live in residence.

Living on your own is a wonderful adventure and by staying in residence, you enjoy the freedom of making your own choices while having all the support you need. You’re close to classes, tutors, professors, dining halls, and health care so that you can focus on your studies and take in all the events UNB offers.

Some of most anticipated events are the House fundraisers. Each traditional residence supports a different charity in creative, often hilarious ways. You get to dive in (literally) and have a smashing good time (also literally) while helping others. Giving residence students the opportunity to contribute to our community is one of the things that set UNB apart.

Another UNB highlight is that every first-year student who gets their deposit in on time is guaranteed a room in residence, and you can remain in residence for the duration of your program. Remember, the sooner you pay your deposit, the better your chances of getting into the residence of your choice.
