A Milestone Achievement in Producing Top-notch Accounting Professionals
The ACCA – TAR UMT 50th Anniversary celebration saw about 40 TAR UMT lecturers being presented
letters of recognition and appreciation for their contribution to the consistent success of TAR UMT’s
accountancy courses over the years.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) recently commemorated their 50th anniversary of a fruitful and enduring partnership. The celebration, held on 15th February 2023 at TAR UMT's Kuala Lumpur Campus, brought together an esteemed gathering of TAR UMT academic staff, students, alumni, and professionals from the tax, accountancy, and finance industries.
Dating back to 1971 when TAR UMT was known as TAR University College (TAR UC), this enduring partnership between two esteemed institutions has consistently delivered outstanding results. The commemorative ceremony, officiated by Prof Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei, President of TAR UMT, and Mr Andrew Lim, Portfolio Head of ACCA Maritime Southeast Asia, was a momentous occasion where the TAR UMT - ACCA 50th Anniversary logo was unveiled.
