Now, Wales and Belgium will battle it out on the 1 July - will Wales conquer its first major tournament since way back in 1958, or will Belgium prove its legion of fans right as being the clear victor?
The next set of matches will give us our teams for the semi-finals scheduled to be on the 7 and 9 July, with the finals on the 10th.
As for the proceeding teams, Iceland has been gaining momentum in its first admission into the Euro Cup, being the smallest country amongst the rest and embarrassing England with their victory previously. Their match against France - the host country with a weak first few matches - will be on the 3rd this month.
Having been the reason for the end of two-time reigning champion Spain’s loss, Italy has come back in the game, and better than ever. 2 July will see how the nation stacks up against title favourite Germany, who have been on a roll throughout the Cup, last beating Slovakia 3-0 in Lille.
More key moments, highlights, timings and livestream links for the rest of the matches can be found here, here and here.
