About this course
Health and social care is a broad term that relates to integrated services that are available from health and social care providers. As a subject health and social care combines elements of sociology, biology, nutrition, law and ethics. Students on health and social care courses always have some work experience alongside their academic studies, such a placement in a nursery, residential home, hospital or other caring establishment. There are many employment opportunities with substantial government support.
You will need:
4 GCSEs at grade D including maths and English at a grade C
a pass in all modules of a Level 1 Diploma in Health and Social Care and GCSE maths and English at a grade C.
You will need a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 for entry on to most study programmes (this will rise to 6.0 for subjects with heavy reading and writing components).
