About College of the Resurrection

The College of the Resurrection is a unique place: the only theological college in the Anglican Communion that shares its life with a monastic community. It exists to help you discover and develop the vocation God has for you.

At a time of economic chaos and moral uncertainty, there is a renewed urgency in the task of forming priests to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ in word and sacrament. We are very conscious of the history of the Church of England and the special story of priests within it, caring for the needs of people of faith and people with no religious beliefs, and giving witness to the generosity and goodness of God in their own lives.

Campus information

Our campus is very private and includes pretty gardens, woodland, and the Community’s beautiful church. All teaching accommodation, our refectory (dining hall) and most of our student accommodation are on-site

Mirfield is a small town and civil parish within the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees, in West Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is located on the A644 road between Brighouse and Dewsbury

Accommodation

Single students who choose to live in are allocated an attractive, comfortable en-suite study-bedroom in recently refurbished accommodation on the Main Quad. These rooms have unlimited broadband internet access plus access to Sheffield University’s online services. There is a small pantry on each accommodation corridor, and a larger kitchen on the ground floor. (If you’d like to bring a pet, we offer a limited amount of off-site accommodation close to the college.)
