UCSI University’s research-focused Master of Philosophy in Engineering programme prepares students to address real-world challenges through advanced study in civil, electrical, electronics, mechanical, and mechatronics engineering. Students develop skills in problem analysis, research planning, and industry application, supported by a 3-credit Research Methodology module that enhances their research, presentation, and publication abilities. The programme also encourages participation in engineering conferences to foster professional networking and collaboration with peers and experts locally and internationally.

Entry Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree (MQF level 6) in Engineering or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the University Senate; OR
  • A bachelor’s degree (MQF level 6) in Engineering or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
  • A bachelor’s degree (MQF level 6) in Engineering or related fields or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the Engineering field and rigorous internal assessment. OR
  • Candidates without a qualification in the Engineering fields or Engineering working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the University and meet the minimum CGPA stated above.
