Today, the doors of the management office of easyuni.com were opened for the first time to school-leavers, parents and even working adults for a one-day event for those interested in exploring their tertiary education in the People’s Republic of China. The event themed ‘China – The Hottest Destination for Education’ is a partnership between easyuni.com, GIST International College and Global Education Management (GEM).
easyuni.com is an online portal that offers a comprehensive platform for local and international college and university applications for school leavers and working adults. With over 34,000 courses and programmes from 362 colleges and universities across more than 20 countries, easyuni.com is Malaysia’s first and only online portal of its nature.

“As the economic spotlight focuses on China in the recent years, it only natural that the country has gained momentum in establishing themselves as a new emerging hot destination for higher learning education. Therefore together with our partners, the objective of today’s event is to strengthen Malaysians’ knowledge and understanding about furthering education in China, as well as its opportunities it has to offer,” Tay added in his opening address.
The one-day event started with Danny Chan, Marketing Director of GIST International College which is located in Suzhou, China. Chan gave a comprehensive talk about what GIST has to offer and most importantly, what China has to offer from an education standpoint as well as career choices and lifestyle in this country of over 1.3billion in population.
This was followed by talk about the aspects of studying medicine in China by Dr Kok, a Principal from GEM.
