Based on the pie chart above, it is clearly evident that the majority of the international students in Australia originate from China. Representing 40.2% of all international students in Australia, the number of international students from China reached a staggering 97423 students in the year 2011. Malaysia is at second place with 17973 students, which account for 7.4% of all international students in Australia. This is followed by India with 15507 students which account for 6.4%. China, Malaysia and India continue to remain as the top 3 contributors of international students in Australia since 2010.
We will continue by looking at the most popular fields of study in Australia. The pie chart above shows that Business and Management is the most popular field of study in Australia with 124308 students in 2011. This is followed by Engineering with 21425 students. Mathemathics and Computer Sciences is next on the list with 18278 students. It is always a decision that the students have to make about where they want to go to study and what they want to study.
