Three campuses make up Winona State: the Original and West Campuses in Winona, and the WSU-Rochester campus in Rochester, Minnesota.
Winona State University is located in Winona, Minnesota, a scenic and welcoming community nestled in the bluffs of the upper Mississippi River Valley. Winona offers a number of recreational, cultural, and entertainment opportunities and is within easy driving distance of La Crosse, Wisconsin (approximately 30 minutes), Rochester (45 minutes), and Minneapolis-St. Paul (2 hours).
East Campus Housing
East Campus is located across from Lake Winona and overlooks the majestic Sugar Loaf bluff. East Campus houses the East Lake Apartment Complex, which was built in 2003. This unique living environment is located six blocks east of main campus and is easily accessible via WSU Shuttle.
Close proximity to Lake Winona provides easy access for outdoor activities such as running, biking, softball, and Frisbee golf!
Main Campus Housing
Students living on main campus have several different housing options. First year students are housed in one of our traditional residence halls Sheehan, Prentiss-Lucas, or The Quad (Conway, Richards, and Morey-Shepard). These halls have traditional double rooms, single rooms, triple rooms, and suite-style rooms available.
Upperclass students, sophomore and above, and transfer students have the option to live in any of the traditional residence halls or they may choose to live in our on-campus suite-style like Kirkland-Haake Hall. Upperclass students also have the option to apply to live in our Theme House.
West Campus Housing
Experience West Campus where your living environment is enhanced by experiential learning opportunities that create a vibrant community of learners. Lourdes Hall, Maria Hall, and Tau Center are 3 residence halls located approximately 14 blocks west of the WSU Main Campus. Over 600 students, which are mostly first-year students, call West Campus their home each year.
West Campus is home to six residential houses which are identified by a crest and motto. Each semester the houses compete for points through attending hall council, social hour and other events on West Campus, as well as, competing in House Competitions.
