Entry Requirements

  • A minimum grade point average of 2.750 (4.000 system) for the last 60 hours of course work, in accordance with WSU graduate policy. 

Curriculum

The MEd program in Sport Management requires 30 hours of course work, and a six credit-hour internship. Classes addressing sport management, sport marketing, sport finance, and sport law are included among the required course work.

Students have completed internships at sport organizations including Wichita State University Athletics, the NCAA, Major League Baseball, Disney Sports, Kansas City Chiefs, Texas Rangers, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Sporting Kansas City, University of Kansas Athletics, Kansas State University Athletics, and Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Degree candidates are required to satisfactorily complete a final written examination covering all required coursework during their final semester prior to graduation. No thesis is required.
