About University of Southern Indiana
The University of Southern Indiana (USI) was founded in 1965, the university is a public university that is located outside of Evansville in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, United States. USI is one of the fastest growing comprehensive state universities in Indiana.
USI offers a wide range of degree programs in several study areas of business, education, engineering, health professions, liberal arts, and science over its 4 colleges, which are the College of Business, College of Liberal Arts, College of Nursing and Health Professions, as well as Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education. There are over 70 undergraduate majors, 10 master's programs, and one doctoral program. USI provides internships, co-op, study abroad and community engagement in order to increase students' experiential learning opportunities.
In the 2012 U.S. News & World Report rankings, USI's online graduate degree nursing program was ranked 15th in the categories of Admissions Selectivity and Faculty Credentials and Training. USI also received a Top 5 ranking in its Master of Science in Health Administration degree from GetEducated.com, a consumer group that reviews and ranks online degrees for cost, quality, and credibility.
