About University of Southern California

The University of Southern California (known as USC or SC), is a private, not-for-profit, nonsectarian, research university with the main campus in Los Angeles, California. It is the oldest private research university in California.
USC enrolls more international students than any other U.S. university and offers extensive opportunities for internships and study abroad.

The University of Southern California contains 17 professional schools. It offers approximately 95 undergraduate majors and 147 academic and professional minors. The graduate program is classified as "comprehensive" and offers 134 master's, doctoral, and professional degrees through 17 professional schools. USC is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Campus information

There are variety of facilities provided by the university such as Lyon Center, McDonalds Swim Stadium, Tennis Court Sport Courts (NEW), Cromwell Track and Field, McAlister (North Campus) Field, Figueroa Recreation Center, Trojan Family Tennis Courts, and the Physical Education Building.

Besides, the USC Libraries actively support the discovery, creation, and preservation of knowledge. USC has 23 libraries and information centers and the USC Digital Library.

Various of residence halls also can be founded in the campus area including Trojan Residence Hall, Popovich Hall, Mudd Hall, Zumberge Hall, Vivian Hall, Habbard Hall, Powell Hall, Lewis Hall, Olin Hall, and etc.

The University Park campus is in the University Park district of Los Angeles, 2 miles (3.2 km) southwest of Downtown Los Angeles.
