About this course

The Environmental Law specialization prepares students with the foundation they will need to address today’s most pressing environmental issues relating to climate change, housing and urban development, land use, and natural resources. Learning from UC Hastings’ distinguished faculty, students will take classes that emphasize local, national, and international environmental laws. They will study how and why environmental laws, regulations, and policies are created, how these laws and regulations are implemented and enforced, and how they affect non-profit organizations, government entities, multi-national corporations, and private developers.
