About Terra State Community College

Terra State Community College is a two-year accredited, state-supported, commuter college located in Fremont, Ohio. Terra State has a long history of service to the community and providing students with an education that is both accessible and affordable.

Terra State offers options for those who desire to take one course or earn a full curriculum leading to an associate degree in applied business, applied science, arts, individualized study, science or technical studies. Students who wish to continue their education may transfer credits to a four-year college or universities.

Terra State has state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, as well as instructors that give students a quality technical education ensuring they gain a competitive edge in the job market.

At Terra State Community College you will find several opportunities to get involved with educational, physical, and social activities that occur outside of the classroom. No matter what your interest, Terra State has something for you. The Student Activities Center is the main hub for student involvement on campus and is located in Building C.

Student Activities Center

Student Clubs and Organizations
Make your college life exciting and challenging by becoming involved in one or more of our student clubs or organizations. Clubs and organizations provide you with experiences outside of the classroom that will develop and enhance your leadership and other skills that can be helpful as you prepare for a career.

Events and Activities
The Student Activities Center coordinates programs and events for you to engage in while you’re a student at Terra State. Events and activities range from our annual Welcome Back Week to Family Fun Events to Black History Month to Spring Fling. Click on the link above to view a calendar of events and look for information on campus televisions, bulletin boards, and in your Terra e-mail account. These events are funded by the student activity fee.

Intramural Sports
Intramural sports provide students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to come together for competition and camaraderie. A variety of team and individual sports are planned each academic year. A complete list of sports, schedules, and rules can be found by clicking the link above.

Recreation
The SAC features a gymnasium, walking track, pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, and much more. There is no cost to participate in these activities however you will need to bring your student identification card to check-out equipment.

Fitness Loft
The fitness loft features weight machines, treadmills and elliptical machines, mats, and other exercise equipment. Locker rooms with showers are available. A valid student identification card is required to access the fitness loft.

Lockers
The SAC has approximately 150 lockers and our provided to students, faculty, staff, and community members to utilize. The lockers downstairs are generally used to store books, coats, and lunches while individuals are on campus and lockers located in the Fitness Loft are for those who participate in fitness activities. Lockers are assigned to individuals free of charge and a student locker agreement must be completed at the beginning of each semester.

Community Memberships
SAC facilities are open to non-students, faculty, and staff for a small fee of $15 per month. Memberships can be purchased in B104 from Shirley Castillo.

SAC Hours of Operation
Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, Closed

Tree Tops Café

Or you can meet your friends for lunch at the Tree Tops Café (the college cafeteria) or browse through the Terra merchandise at the College Book Store.

Terra State Community College is located in Fremont, Ohio – just 33 miles east of Toledo on State Route 20. Fremont is the county seat of Sandusky County and is the home of many commercial, industrial, and agricultural enterprises. World-class recreational and entertainment facilities are available in Sandusky County, nearby cities, as well as in and along Lake Erie.
