Cotton candy, mini donuts and the occasional ferris wheel — that's how we celebrate the last day of class each spring. Students and friends gather on campus to enjoy an afternoon of carnival-themed fun with the St. Kate's community.
On the catwalk you find funk, style and eco-conscious designs. Our students steal the show at the annual Katwalk fashion show, displaying the talents of juniors and seniors studying apparel design and fashion merchandising.
This annual potluck is a festive opportunity to take a close-up look at the cultures that comprise St. Catherine University. Through an array of food, music, dance and dress we explore the cultural traditions that make us a unique student body.
Students love this chance to dress up, grab a date and dance the night way. Between dance lessons, fun with friends and raising money for charity, this annual ball lives on through the years.
Women of Substance series
Bringing influential and inspirational women to the University through artistic performances, lectures and concerts. Decades old, this series has brought notable artists and leaders such as Norah Jones, Maya Angelou and former Secretary of State Madeliene Albright.
Students literally flip for this swingsational activity. Swing dance lessons are provided for free and many students manage to get their wits about them and venture out to dance events in the Twin Cities area.
Among your classmates, there might be a midweek cookie-decorating party, a Cinco de Mayo celebration, a talent show, the building of an impromptu snowman or a trip to the Mall of America (the nation's largest).
The St. Paul campus is 5 miles from downtown St. Paul, 7 miles from downtown Minneapolis and sits on 110 wooded acres.

St. Catherine University offers several different types of living spaces that provide comfortable and supportive communities that encourage learning outside of the classroom. First year students typically live in residence halls, which are comprised of mostly standard doubles. Upper class students have options that vary from traditional singles, doubles, and triples to suites and apartments. We also offer theme housing in most buildings if you are looking for a special-interest housing option.
