About Saint Peter's University

Saint Peter’s is one of 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States, founded in the same tradition as Georgetown University and Boston College. Established in 1872, Saint Peter’s University blends a unique learning experience shaped by rigorous academics, internships that provide real-world experience, community service, and a genuine, caring community that supports you long after graduation.

With an undergraduate student-faculty ratio of 12-to-1 and a stellar faculty committed to your success, Saint Peter’s offers more than 50 undergraduate majors as well as master’s level and doctorate programs. We’re small enough to know you by name and big enough to bring the world to your door.

Campus information

Saint Peter's College operates two campuses located in Jersey City and Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.

Jersey City Campus
The Jersey City campus hosts undergraduate day students (CAS/SBA), undergraduate evening students (SPCS), and graduate students. It includes seven residence halls which accommodate approximately one half of the full-time undergraduate student body. The Mac Mahon Student Center, O’Toole Library and the Yanitelli Recreational Life Center are located on our Jersey City campus.

Englewood Cliffs Campus
This branch campus is dedicated to students of the School of Professional and Continuing Studies as well as Graduate Programs in Nursing, Business, and Education. Its facilities include a student computer lab, Office of Enrollment Services, library, bookstore, student lounge, and ample parking.

Saint Peter’s University main campus comprises nearly 25 acres in the heart of Jersey City, the second largest city in New Jersey.

The Englewood Cliffs campus is located one mile north of the George Washington Bridge on the Palisades.
