About this course
The MSiMH is an active, experiential program designed to enhance self-awareness and facilitate self-exploration. Candidates should be prepared to explore their own personal psyche, to be vulnerable with their peers and instructors, and to use their own psychological material for learning how to work with clients.
Many courses are delivered in a weekend format allowing sufficient time and a safe space for deep exploration and processing. Students will explore how what they learn about themselves shapes their personal identity as a health care professional.
Throughout this process, students will have ample opportunity to practice new psychotherapeutic techniques as they support one another in self-exploration. Group supervision is built into the program, and students will work closely with mentors to conceptualize and manage cases, practice skills, and continually reflect on their own experience and growth as a practitioner.
- All candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university, or the equivalent (as determined by NUNM) from an institution outside the United States.
