About Meredith College
Meredith College is an independent, private women's collage that is located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The college opened its doors in 1899, and has now expanded into becoming one of the U.S's largest private women colleges, with nearly 2,000 students representing 31 states and 41 countries. The college offers 32 majors in total, ranging from undergraduate B.A., B.S., B.M., B.S.W., to offering postgraduate MAT, MBA, M.Ed, and M.S.N. The college caters an average of twelve students per faculty, with only seventeen per class on average.
The college has a rich student life, with currently over ninety student clubs and organisations and seven Division III athletic teams. The college also frequently sponsors lectures, juried student exhibitions, visiting artists, exhibitions featuring professional artists and they also have an active concert schedule. Students regularly participate in the dance and theatre performance troupes, along with a wide variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles. They also develop their leadership skills through notable programmes like Emerging LEader Seminar Series, Officer and Advisor Training, Sloan Family Leadership Programme, Sophie Lanneau Women's Leadership Development Program and the LeaderShape®Institute.
