Marlboro’s campus encompasses more than 450 acres, with 17 miles of maintained trails for hiking and cross-country skiing. Campus features include a rock climbing wall, art gallery, student-run coffee shop, and organic farm. Campus activities are largely organized by students and evolve yearly based on student interest. Some past and present activities include yoga, fencing, open mic nights, contra dancing, and Queer Homecoming.
With a graduate campus in the southern Vermont town of Brattleboro and an undergraduate campus just 10 miles away in the scenic Green Mountains, Marlboro College offers both vibrant community and the space to think. The college works to foster a sense of connection between those two locations, from co-sponsoring events to encouraging the enrollment of undergraduate alumni in our graduate and professional studies programs. As an intellectual center and professional development resource, Marlboro plays an essential role in the economic and cultural life of the southern Vermont region.
There are 9 residential buildings on campus that are designated as On Campus: All the Way,Half Way, Happy Valley, Hendricks, Howland East, Howland West, Random North, Random South & Schrader. These buildings consist of single, double, and triple rooms.
All residences have shared all gender bathrooms (unless otherwise noted by a Charter created by the residents). Howland, All the Way, Hendricks, and Random South all have kitchens. Most of these buildings have common rooms, furnished with couches, chairs and tables. Each room has a desk, chair, twin bed, and dresser available for each occupant of the room. There is one wall mounted light per room (bringing a lamp is strongly encouraged). There is no storage space outside of one's room, and window sizes vary from dorm to dorm. Each of these buildings is supervised by a Resident Assistant. Students residing in these buildings must all be on the full Meal Plans.
