About this course
Digital Marketing and Media is a four semester online program. The Digital Marketing and Media program focuses on marketing in the modern day.
The program includes search engine optimization, copywriting, analyzing marketing metrics, website design, and marketing in the age of smart phones.
This program is designed to educate new marketing professionals and update previous marketing experts who learned the craft in a more traditional marketing sense. It will highlight marketing to a target audience, getting a response via email blasts and social media, which areas of marketing are best left to traditional methods, as well as the roles and the positions involved in creating and tracking a marketing campaign. In addition, an online provides greater accessibility to students who live far from the physical campus, and who may have transportation concerns.
In addition to attendance in all courses, students will be required to complete out-of-class assignments. These assignments include but are not limited to reading, exercises and problem solving, projects, research, papers, and presentations. A student can anticipate out-of-class activities that equal about two (2) hours for every one (1) hour of lecture.
Upon successful completion of the program, students could seek or obtain entry-level employment in digital marketing and media related positions.
