Students at Long Island University Post take advantage of the ‘best of both worlds’ location: a sprawling, picturesque campus in one of Long Island’s most elite suburbs, yet in close proximity and under 35km (about 50 minutes) from the heart of New York City.
Student programming creates a vibrant campus that offers you ample opportunities to stay connected, with over 80 clubs and organisations, student-run newspaper, radio station, and businesses. There’s also a cinema and two theatres. LIU Post is home to the renowned Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, Hillwood Art Museum and the Institute for Arts and Culture. Over 200 on-campus events are held each year, including pop concerts from some of the world's leading artists.
LIU Post offers a wide variety of state-of-the-art fitness resources, like an athletic centre, playing fields, an 8-lane swimming pool, an equestrian centre (open to all students), a variety of different indoor courts and fitness studio spaces.
Considered one of the most beautiful campuses in America, LIU Post is shaped by three historic mansions, 56 modern buildings, 4,000 trees, magnificent formal gardens, sprawling green lawns, and nature trails.
More than 1,940 students live on campus in residence halls and suites. Ten residence halls are tailored to individual needs. Every residence hall offers lounges for relaxation or study, as well as snack areas with vending machines and convection ovens, and fully equipped laundry rooms.
There are eight on-campus dining facilities, including cafes and globally-inspired food selections.
