About this course

The Chemical Engineering Department offers four separate graduate degrees: Master of Engineering Science, Master of Engineering, Doctor of Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). With the exception of the Masters of Engineering degree, the graduate program requires each student to choose an area in which to pursue research. Some of the research areas of current interest to the Chemical Engineering graduate faculty include:

  • Industrial Waste Water Treatment
  • Air Pollution
  • Soil Bio-Remediation
  • Fluidization and Fluidized Bed Combustion
  • Metal and Sulfur Emission Control
  • Capillary Electrophoresis
  • Environmental Surface Chemistry
  • Process Control: Dynamic simulation and Distillation Control, Kinetics, Catalysis, Reaction Engineering, Process Simulation, Advanced Process Analysis, etc.
