About Gettysburg College
Liberal arts education is preparing Gettysburg students of the 21st century for lives of enlightened contribution to a free society. Each year, some 1,400 students help the homeless, tutor underprivileged high-school students, teach English as a second language, and take part in dozens of other programs through our Center for Public Service, providing 30,000 hours of volunteer service.
Gettysburg College received high marks throughout 2012 by several news organizations, higher education groups and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The College was scored on everything from academic quality and alumni outcomes, to the overall undergraduate experience. The 2012 rankings serve as another example of the College’s excellent academic reputation among top institutions in the nation.
