About Gettysburg College
Gettysburg College is a highly selective national, four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences. With a student body of approximately 2,700, it is located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to the Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania
Gettysburg students love to take advantage of everything the area has to offer, whether it's hanging out at the College's on-campus night club, The Attic, going to Midnight Madness at the dining center, playing some mini-golf at Mulligan MacDuffer's, hitting the slopes at Ski Liberty, or doing some shopping at the Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg.
Gettysburg College is ideally located between several major metropolitan locations and is mere steps away from the iconic battlefields that shaped our nation’s history. Our location provides both a lively local atmosphere and close proximity to Washington D.C., Baltimore, Harrisburg and Philadelphia – just one of many ways that we are able to offer big-city resources while maintaining our small-town charm.
All first-year students live in either the East or West Quad.
Gettysburg College offers several different housing styles for upperclass students. Below is a list of our upperclass buildings with links to detailed information about each building.
Traditional Style Housing
Traditional style housing includes halls and houses that have singles, doubles, and triples that open up to long corridors. These buildings tend to have group bathrooms and may have a shared kitchen. Students select to live in these buildings by small group or by choosing to live in a single or double without connection to a particular group. These buildings offer students the best opportunity to meet new people through the residential experience.
